Air Conditioning Installation, Repair & Replacement
Whether your current system is struggling to keep up or it’s simply reached the end of its service life, our technicians install, repair, and replace air conditioning systems sized correctly for your home and usage. We diagnose the issue on-site, walk you through your options, and get you back to reliable cooling without the guesswork.
Along the Yadkin River in neighborhoods like Riverway on the Yadkin, custom homes built in the 2000s and 2010s tend to sit on generous, often over-an-acre lots with larger-than-average floor plans. A system sized for a standard 1,800-square-foot home won’t keep up in a 4,000-square-foot riverfront estate, which is why we run a full load calculation rather than matching whatever size was there before.
Air Duct Inspection, Repair & Replacement
Leaky, damaged, or undersized air ducts quietly rob your air ducts system of efficiency, sending conditioned air into your attic or crawlspace instead of your living room. We inspect your full duct run, seal or repair minor damage, and handle full replacement when a duct system has simply aged out.
Lewisville’s established, tree-shaded neighborhoods like Shallowford Forest and Shallowford Reserve are largely built out with homes from past decades, and ductwork of that age has often never been inspected for leaks or crushed sections. A duct system losing 20-30% of its airflow to leaks is common in homes this age, and it’s usually an easy fix once we find it.
Commercial HVAC Installation & Maintenance
Retail and office spaces need heating and cooling that keeps customers and employees comfortable without driving up utility costs. commercial services from Hawley Air Heating, Cooling, Electrical covers system selection, installation, and ongoing maintenance for commercial properties of any size.
Lewisville Commons Shopping Center and the retail corridor around it represent the kind of multi-tenant commercial space where a single rooftop unit failure can affect several businesses at once. We build maintenance schedules around minimizing exactly that kind of shared downtime.
Ductless Mini Split Installation & Repair
A ductless system gives you heating and cooling in a space without existing ductwork (a sunroom, a converted garage, an addition) without the cost of extending your main system. We install and repair ductless units sized to the room and usage they’re actually serving.
Downtown Lewisville and the mixed-use spaces around Shallowford Square, where small businesses occupy converted older buildings, are a common fit for ductless systems since running new ductwork through existing construction isn’t always practical. The same logic applies to converted spaces in homes throughout Lewisville.
Furnace Installation, Repair & Replacement
When your furnace starts short-cycling, running constantly, or simply isn’t heating evenly, our technicians diagnose the cause and give you a straight answer on repair versus replacement, along with routine maintenance to keep a newer system running efficiently for years.
Lewisville Trails and similar established neighborhoods carry a mix of furnace ages, and a unit installed 15-plus years ago is a common candidate for replacement rather than a repeat repair call. We’ll tell you honestly which category yours falls into.
Heat Pump Installation, Repair & Maintenance
A heat pump handles both heating and cooling from a single system, which makes it a strong fit for North Carolina’s mild winters and humid summers alike. We install, service, and repair heat pumps from the manufacturers we know best.
West of town toward the Yadkin Valley, larger rural and semi-rural properties benefit from a heat pump’s efficiency over a longer heating season, since electric-resistance backup heat gets expensive fast on a bigger footprint. We size these systems around the property, not just the square footage.
HVAC Maintenance Plans
Regular maintenance catches small issues, like a worn capacitor or a low refrigerant charge, before they become a breakdown on the hottest or coldest day of the year. Our maintenance plans cover both your heating and cooling systems on a set seasonal schedule.
With Joanie Moser Memorial Park and Jack Warren Park drawing residents outdoors as the seasons turn, we treat that same shift as a cue for homeowners: spring and fall are the two windows to get ahead of summer AC season and winter heating season before demand spikes.
Indoor Air Quality Solutions
Since most of us spend the bulk of our time indoors, indoor air quality solutions like filtration, purification, and ventilation upgrades make a real difference in what you’re actually breathing at home. We assess your current system and recommend upgrades that fit it.
Wooded, mature-tree communities like Arbor Run are common throughout Lewisville, and homes surrounded by heavy tree cover tend to see more seasonal pollen and organic debris pulled into their HVAC intake than homes in more open areas, a good reason to have your filtration checked before allergy season ramps up.
Whole-House Humidifiers & Dehumidifiers
A whole house humidifier keeps dry winter air from cracking wood floors and irritating sinuses, while a whole house dehumidifier keeps excess summer moisture from turning into a mold or musty-smell problem. Both install directly into your existing ductwork.
Newer construction along the Hwy 421 growth corridor tends to be built tighter than older Lewisville homes, which is good for efficiency but can trap humidity indoors without a dedicated system to manage it, something we check for on every IAQ visit in these neighborhoods.
Zone Control System Installation
A zone control systems setup uses multiple thermostats and dampers to heat or cool different areas of your home independently, so the upstairs bedrooms and the main floor don’t have to share one setting.
Homes in Sequoia Place and similar Lewisville subdivisions often mix multi-story layouts with bonus rooms or finished basements, and those are exactly the floor plans where one thermostat struggles to keep every room comfortable at once. Zone control fixes that without replacing the whole system.
Why Lewisville Homeowners Choose Hawley Air Heating, Cooling, Electrical
Hawley Air Heating, Cooling, Electrical holds a BBB A+ rating and has documented more than 117 permitted HVAC and electrical projects in the past three years, a track record independently confirmed through building-permit records rather than self-reported. Our roughly 26-person team includes in-house sheet metal fabrication capability, so custom ductwork doesn’t mean waiting on an outside vendor. We’re also active in the Piedmont Triad community beyond service calls, including sponsoring Christmas gifts for foster children in Davidson County and partnering with local organizations like Greater Things Outreach, the kind of involvement that comes from being a local, family-owned business rather than a franchise.
Lewisville HVAC Questions, Answered
Is Hawley Air Heating, Cooling, Electrical licensed for electrical work in Lewisville, or just HVAC?
Both. Our NC contractor licenses cover Electrical Contractors as well as Heating Group 2 and Heating Group 3 Class I, so the same team handling your HVAC system can also take on related electrical work.
What does it mean that Hawley Air Heating, Cooling, Electrical is a Trane Comfort Specialist?
It’s a certification Trane doesn’t extend to every dealer in its network. It recognizes technicians who’ve met Trane’s training standards and a customer-satisfaction bar the manufacturer tracks directly, alongside our NATE-certified staff.
My Lewisville furnace is over 15 years old. Is it worth repairing or should I plan to replace it?
A common industry rule of thumb: if a repair would cost more than roughly half of a new system, replacement is usually the better long-term value. We’ll give you real numbers on both options rather than pushing one over the other.
My heat pump runs constantly in Lewisville’s summer humidity but the house still feels warm. What’s going on?
This usually points to either a refrigerant charge issue, a duct leak losing conditioned air before it reaches your rooms, or a system that was undersized (or oversized) for your home to begin with. We diagnose which one it is rather than guessing.
Is a ductless mini-split a good option for a bonus room or garage conversion?
Yes, in most cases. Extending your main ductwork to a converted space is often more expensive and disruptive than a dedicated ductless unit sized for that one room, and it won’t affect the temperature balance in the rest of your home.
Are there current rebates for upgrading to a heat pump in Lewisville?
Duke Energy’s Smart Saver program currently offers a rebate of roughly $500 on a qualifying heat pump replacement, with higher amounts available for systems meeting stricter efficiency tiers. Rebate amounts and requirements change, so we confirm current terms before your installation.
Is a zone control system worth it for a multi-story Lewisville home?
If different floors or rooms consistently run hot or cold compared to the rest of the house, zone control is usually worth the investment. It solves the comfort mismatch without requiring a second full HVAC system.

I was just getting excuses from the company who had done the install. “It was my house’s fault because I have high ceilings.” “It was Duke power’s fault and I shouldn’t trust their billing.” I had been thinking that I should get a second opinion, but I kept putting it off, believing that nothing would help. The latest heat wave made me desperate, and when I received a flyer in the mail from Hawley, I gave them a call. And I am so thankful I did!
Kendrick arrived the next day, and he meticulously checked out both my systems since I have two. He determined that I was having problems with the new system because the wrong size filter box was installed! It wasn’t the size recommended by the manufacturer, and it wasn’t large enough to do the job.
The new part was ordered, and Kendrick was back the next week for the install and a complete service on all my units. He did an excellent job, and I can’t believe the difference!! My air is actually functioning! It’s working! And the unit isn’t running constantly. It actually shuts off when the outside temp goes down. I am looking forward to seeing what this repair will do for my winter heating. I know it will make a huge difference! I can’t recommend Hawley or Kendrick more highly! They are an exceptional company with the most professional business practices I ever seen in an HVAC company. They really care about customer satisfaction. My old company gave me nothing but excuses or completely ignored me as an annoyance when I complained. I have already recommended Hawley to family and friends. .”
Will be saving their number for when I need work done on my rental units.
Thanks gentlemen.”
